Amikor a cikk írását terveztem, rögtön tudtam, hogy ezt – az amúgy elég teátrális – címet szeretném neki adni. Nem azért, mert az ilyen provokatív leadekre jobban odakapja a fejét az olvasó, hanem kétszeres okból: az egyik Wagner, a másik Daniken.

Ők mindketten, időben és térben egymástól teljesen eltérő módon és kommunikációs csatornán, de ugyanezt a patetikus kifejezést használták egy olyan jelenség megnevezésére, amely nagyon hosszú idő alatt, új világrendként jött létre egy lassan eltűnő „anti” világ helyébe lépve.

Since 2011, when IBM’s revolutionary supercomputer –named Watson after the founder of  the over a 100-year old old tech giant–won the quiz show Jeopardy!,Artificial Intelligence has become a hot topic again. Watson’s victory over the best ever human players not only resulted in strong press presence, but revitalized the research around AI that has been going on for decades.

According to Fortune.com equity funding in AI, related startups reached an all-time high in the last quarter of over 1 billion dollars. Since 2011, the investment in such startups exceeds 7.5 billion and more than 6 billion has been invested since 2014.

Reflecting to the previous stories of the series, this part examines why do we believe that conversation builds trusts and creates commitment.

Recently I had the privilege to order beer in front of a large audience twice in a row. First time at a regional IBM client conference organized in Budapest and second time at one of the events of the Brain Bar Budapest tech festival, a couple days later. The motto of the festival was Human vs. Machines. The beer was pretty good but that is not the point. The interesting part of the story was that the waiter I ordered from was not a human. I had a natural language conversation with a mobile app built on Artificial Intelligence. We developed this app as part of a research project called Mizu at my company E-Group using AI and speech technology components of leading global software-vendors.

Mesterséges Intelligencia

2011-ben az IBM alapítójáról elnevezett szuperszámítógép, Watson, minden idők két legjobb emberi bajnokával szemben megnyerte az Egyesült Államokban népszerű Jeopardy! műveltségi vetélkedőt. Watson az emberi nyelven feltett csavaros fejtörőket a legfelkészültebb hús-vér versenyzőknél is gyorsabban tudta megoldani. Az esemény nemcsak komoly sajtóvisszhangot kapott, de új lendületet adott a sok évtizede zajló mesterséges intelligencia kutatásoknak is.
